The RCG4-WCA's coordination work is guided by SDG4-Education 2030 and the African Union's Continental Education Strategy for Africa (CESA 16-25), which are the principal agendas for education development in the region.

To further accelerate progress toward these two agendas, the RCG4-WCA developed its Acceleration Strategy, which guides more than 70 activities among the more than 25 regional member organizations of the RCG4-WCA.
