- The Paris Declaration: A Global Call for Investing in the Futures of Education (also available in Arabic, Chinese and Russian)
The high-level segment aimed to create a global political momentum to raise the profile of education and its investment imperative. It adopted the “Paris Declaration” to renew national and international leaders’ commitment to invest in education – domestically and internationally – and to accelerate progress toward Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education).
During the meeting, the SDG 4 - Education 2030 High-Level Steering Committee was officially launched. This renewed global cooperation mechanism will play a central role in monitoring Member States’ progress, international actors’ contributions as well as recommend priority actions for education.
